Ministries to help support and strengthen our community
Opportunities to serve members of our community in need:
Various types of support to members of Cumberland University's International Student Organization, including the creation and endowment of The Episcopal Church of the Epiphany's International Student Scholarship Fund through fund-raising efforts.
The Wilson County Community Help Center: provides help to local needy families with food (including liquid nutrition for the elderly), clothing, prescriptions, rent and emergency overnight shelter, utilities, and gas. Please bring donations to the church the fourth Sunday of each month. Items needed: canned meat, peanut butter, dry beans and peas.
Local populations of elderly, school-aged children, and others in need, especially Byars-Dowdy Elementary School and the homeless population at Timberline Campground.
Second Harvest's BackPack Program. Funds donated to this program assists chronically hungry children in multiple Wilson County schools receive a food bag each Friday as they enter the weekend.
Home Safe Program. Provides services and shelter for domestic violence victims.
