Who are we?
A visitor once described our community as a funky little church with good vibes. After having a good chuckle over that we concluded that it was an apt description of who we are, and (most of us) embrace it!
What makes us funky? Our membership includes:
- Lifelong Episcopalians
- Seekers who are new to Christ and the ways of being “church”
- “Transplants” from other faith traditions (Baptists, Methodists, Roman Catholics, and the Church of Christ, to name a few)
- Wise and sometimes mischievous elders
- Inquisitive youngsters
- People who don’t take ourselves too seriously
- People who take God very seriously
- People of all stripes that don’t all think alike and still get along
What gives us good vibes?
- We enjoy each other’s company and tolerate each other’s jokes, and we love each other most of the time.
- We know how to make good food, and we’re very good at eating it.
- We genuinely miss each other when one of us is absent.
- We like to hug.
- We enjoy welcoming and getting to know new friends who come through our doors disguised as strangers.
