What we Believe
We believe there is One God who created all things, redeems us from sin and death, and renews us as the children of God. We are grounded in the belief that Holy Scripture contains the core of all Christian faith and thought, and that through our baptism God empowers us to continue the ministry of reconciliation begun by Jesus Christ.
Episcopalians follow Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. The mission of the Church is restoration of all people to unity with God and each other through Christ.
We are a community of the priesthood of all believers, led by baptized persons, lay and ordained, exercising our God-given gifts and talents in ministry. We live out these beliefs through:

The Episcopal Church, USA, rooted in the Church of England, was formed in 1789 as the United States was being established as an independent nation. It is a member of the worldwide Anglican Communion, with over 77 million members in 163 countries. The church takes is name from the Greek word episkopos, meaning bishops. It refers to the Church's form of governance.

A Brief History of Epiphany
Episcopalians have been worshiping in Wilson County since before the Civil War. Organized formally as a mission of the Diocese of Tennessee in the 1930's, Epiphany Church became a self-sustaining parish in 2002.
